Please note that, effective immediately, Mrs. Sulochana Kandavel from the Sathya Sai Centre of Middlefield will serve as the new National Secretary of SSIO Canada. Please read below a letter from Preeti Mathur, President of SSIO Canada.

Sai Ram,

I would once again like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Sarada for serving Sathya Sai Baba in her role as the secretary in His organization. She has diligently served the organization at the national level and in different positions at centre level. I shall always be grateful for her advice and support through many events, pilgrimages and special occasions. May Baba give her the needed break she most deserves.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome to the National Council team Mrs. Sulochana Kandavel as the new secretary of SSIO Canada. She comes with a lot of experience serving Sathya Sai Baba over the years in many different roles. She will be starting in her new role effective immediately.

Mrs. Sulochana, joined the Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Don Mills, where she has been an SSE teacher and held positions as Spiritual Coordinator and Youth Coordinator. In addition, she functioned as one of the Retreat Coordinators for Region 2, at the retreats held in London Ontario, consecutively for 2 years. After becoming a member of the Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Middlefield, she continued to be an SSE teacher and was a Secretary and an Education Coordinator. She underwent Dynamic Value Parenting (DVP) training and was one of the facilitators for the DVP workshop. Mrs. Sulo was part of the script writing team for Region 2 for dramas staged in Sai’s presence in 2002 and 2003.

Mrs. Sulo was one of the two facilitators for the workshop “Effective & Loving Communication” held in Region 2 and Montreal in May 2016. Further, whenever help was needed, she has volunteered to take the minutes for the National Council meetings. She has also prepared consolidated reports from the Questionnaire/Survey updates received from various Regional Presidents. She also served as the Secretary of the Sathya Sai Education Trust of Canada since its inception in 2000.

Apart from the Sathya Sai Organization, Mrs. Sulo had been a science teacher at the secondary level in Nigeria for 10 years. Also, she was an employee of the CIBC bank for 25 years. The last position she held was Liaison Officer in the National Student Loans Department where she was able to acquire public speaking, team working and communication skills.

Please welcome Mrs. Sulo to the team, may Sai Baba always guide us and bring us together in love and unity as a strong and effective team to serve Him in His organization.
