The Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO) is a voluntary, incorporated, non-profit association with several centres worldwide. The International Headquarters of the Organisation is located in Southern India, at Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s ashram (monastery), known as Prasanthi Nilayam, which translates to ‘abode of highest peace.’ Members come from a variety of religions and philosophical backgrounds. The SSIO is not a religion, but rather a universal approach to life, which emphasises the practice of essential values to improve the quality of our lives as private individuals and as global citizens.
