Trees of Love

Trees teach the lesson of sacrifice in that they not only bear fruits while they are alive, but also give away their body to be used as firewood once the life goes out of them. Amongst teachers, a tree is the greatest.

100K Sai Trees Initiative

The Goal: Plant and Nurture One Hundred Thousand Trees by November 2025

Trees teach us many lessons; they capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and are critical to sustaining human life. Lets get all our volunteers across Canada together to plant 100k trees to commemorate our founder Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 100th birthday. Each individual, family, center, and region are encouraged to participate in one of many ways, including identifying suitable spaces for planting such as their own yard, indoor space, schools, places of worship or public parks, and more.

We are looking for volunteers and partners to:

  • Co-organize planting events
  • Help identify planting sites
  • Support procuring trees or saplings to suit local climates across the country
  • Share in stewarding trees in the early years
  • Please signup as a volunteer here
  • Once activity is completed, please update tracking sheet

Guidelines for planting:

To plant trees in the backyard, plant a vegetable garden or grow house plants, please follow the guidance provided in the following resources:
