Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On the occasion of the 150th Canada Day, SSIO Canada is pleased to announce the release of a new SSIO Canada website (www.sathyasai.ca). The aim of this website is to keep the Canadian Sai devotees updated with the latest news and events of SSIO Canada, and to promote resources related to Sai teachings and the Sai Organisation.

In order to enhance the website and add additional features, assistance is required from interested volunteers. The SSIO Canada web team is looking for volunteers with the following skills:

• Web Developers:
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of PHP, WordPress (Custom Theme and Plugin development) and JS would be helpful
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git, or a willingness to learn
  • Interest in designing a user-centric website experience for visitors
  • Note: Volunteers who are not familiar with any of the above, but have knowledge in any other programming language are also encouraged to join the team.

• Graphic Designers
  • Ability to create original art or proficiently edit existing art using design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Familiarity of graphic design principles, e.g. color theory, grids, fonts

• Content Writers/Editors
  • Good command over English language
  • Good knowledge of Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings and the SSIO
  • Ability to follow the ‘content guidelines’ as put forth by the SSIO.
