Recognizing a growing shortage of trained gurus in multiple SSE programs, Region 2 hosted a major Guru Training Workshop on the weekend of April 6th-7th, 2019. Over 50 new gurus were trained in the tenants of Sai education, as well as the practical aspects of forming and presenting there a value-based SSE lesson. The workshop was especially pleased to welcome multiple gifted facilitators, including educators from the elementary and secondary level as well as special education teachers. A special mention must be afforded to the many volunteers from across the region’s ten Sai Centres who devoted their time, talents and resources to tasks ranging from cooking to setup/clean up to registration and other critical activities.
