Eh Dtoo Dta Kayt Tan – You must do as I tell you.                                                               –

It was August 25th when we received a request informing us of the opportunity for SSE children to be part of the Ladies day celebration 2020. The ask was to submit a storyline for a skit or drama based on the theme “Unity of Head, Heart and Hand”. The due date for submission was the first week of September. With all hands and hearts on deck, we submitted the first draft on September 4th.

The story line revolved around an elder woman (Martha) in an Indigenous village, who had completely surrendered to the Lord. Complete surrender results in the Lord saving her hut during a severe storm when the entire village was impacted. She provides shelter to them by obeying to the message of her Lord. Always intently listening to and obeying the Lord. From then on the villagers vowed to strengthen their faith and conduct themselves in unity of head, heart and hands. Martha became a constant reminder to the villagers of what the true role of a woman is, often reciting the name of her Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

To our delight the dawn of September 17th brought the good news, our submission was accepted by the Zonal Coordinating committee. We were very excited, however soon we realized the detours we would have to take to stage this play with COVID restrictions. From rehearsals to choreography, to music, costume designing and stage setup were all done via the ZOOM platform. It was indeed an unforgettable experience, a great learning and practice of patience and acceptance.

Children and parents thoroughly enjoyed this experience which was new to all. Many of the parents became the best of videographers and choreographers overnight. Bhagawan’s grace and presence was felt many times during the ZOOM calls. Innovation and technology were close companions and helped us get through all the challenges in terms of stitching together the various scenes and overlaying the backdrop images and inserting music.

Bhagawan engaged His devotees to come together for this offering of love. The drama was submitted on October 29th and aired on November 19th. We are truly grateful and indebted to all who helped in making this offering a Divine offering.

“The feminine is the foundation on which a peaceful and happy world is to be raised. When we are true and brave, kind and compassionate, virtuous and pious, the world can have an era of peace and joy,” – (Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol.13 Chapter 17).
