Canada Day—150 Years, a Commemorative Birthday
The Sathya Sai Centre of Cooksville had the opportunity to organize two prayer sessions to celebrate the happy occasion of Canada’s 150th commemorative birthday, oneness with its diversity, and unity of colours.
Wheelchair Clinic at Participation House
As part of its annual summer activities, for over the last 20 years, 16 members including 9 Sai Young Adults from the Sathya Sai Centre of Toronto-York volunteered at a Wheelchair Clinic at the Participation House in Markham, Ontario.
SSE Field Trip to Gurdwara
For its annual Sai Spiritual Education field trip this year, the Sathya Sai Centre of Toronto East visited the Gursikh Sabha Canada gurdwara. Previously, end of year field trips had consisted of outdoor games and snacks, but now the Centre has moved to a more spiritually meaningful approach for these activities.
Volunteering During Montreal Floods
The young adults of the Sathya Sai Centre of St-Hubert volunteered in the City of Vaudreuil (adjacent to Montreal) as it was the hardest hit. The young adults filled hundreds of sandbags and build walls around homes to prevent and delay water infiltration.
Pre-Canadian Sai Young Adults Festival 2017
Over a hundred Sai Young Adults from Eastern Canada gathered at the Sathya Sai School in Toronto to take part in the Pre-Canadian Sai Young Adults Festival. The half-day event was held in order to provide young adults from Eastern Canada with a taste of what could be expected during the actual upcoming festival event in Val Morin, Quebec.
