Swami has said;

There is only one religion, the religion of Love;
There is only one language, the language of the Heart;
There is only one caste, the caste of Humanity

The Meals on Wheels is an energetic drive that was conducted at the Sri Sathya Sai Centre Mississauga- Central on 25th March. There were 11 volunteers who helped in packing 81 lunch boxes of salad, pasta and roasted potatoes. Sai Ragavan, the service coordinator of the Sri Sathya Sai Centre Mississauga- Central emphasized that the drive is an awareness program to remind us all to share food with those who do not have access to regular meals. Perhaps the most important concept of ‘sharing’ underscored with the cultivation of love are the most important virtues that are propagated by this unique drive. As a result, all of us who participated in the actions of packing and distributing food were happy to be a part of this program because it created waves of happiness and contentment wherever we visited and whoever it was with whom we interacted.

This once -a-month activity is a very rewarding seva activity. We put a lot of effort and care into the preparation of the food. We chose vegetables that enhanced the overall taste of the meals. The packing of the food into lunch boxes was a challenge for all of us who were not skilful with our hands. Finally, the distribution of the packed lunches to the less fortunate in Toronto was an exercise to experience the pure happiness in the faces of strangers. Although we will endlessly relive the immense satisfaction and love we had experienced, we cannot wait for the next month to bring our hands and hearts together for the next Meals on Wheels drive. The drive would never have been able to spread this invaluable happiness to those who are less fortunate had it not been for all our dedicated Sai youth and volunteers. In conclusion we can say that as Sai’s children we worked with hearts filled with love for the good of humanity.
