Since the Corona Virus outbreak, citizens all over the world have been in fear of their health and safety. Shortages of face masks are faced all over the country, but most importantly it also impacted the Hospitals. A few ladies from the Ladies Wing at the Toronto East Sai Center decided they would be able use their sewing skills to compensate for this shortage. Eleven Ladies of the Toronto East Sai Center along with three other ladies have stitched one thousand and forty-five (1445) face masks and have donated them to the Toronto East General Hospital, also known as the Michael Garron Hospital. These masks were donated over a span of three separate donations; April 17th, May 21st and May 29th of 2020. These ladies are continuing their service activity and will be donating more masks depending on the need of the Hospital.
