On a crisp evening in Saskatoon, members of the Sai Centre embarked on a mission of compassion and service, joining hands with the local group Bridge City Warmth. Together, they set out on a patrol across the city’s inner neighborhoods, their hearts filled with a desire to bring comfort to those in need. 

With arms full of warm jackets, cozy blankets, toques, mitts, and gloves, along with nourishing food and drinks, they traversed the streets, reaching out to the unhoused and underprivileged. This effort was not just about distributing donations; it was about offering a moment of warmth, a gesture of kindness, and a reminder that these individuals are not forgotten. 

As part of the evening’s efforts, Sai Centre volunteers lovingly prepared fresh sandwiches, ensuring that everyone received something wholesome to eat. Meanwhile, the group shared hot chocolate, a simple yet cherished comfort in the cold night. The smiles, the gratitude, and the heartfelt exchanges were more than enough to warm their souls. 

It is one thing to read about the struggles of those facing homelessness; it is another to experience their reality firsthand.
