March is a celebration of green and yellow, so we had the children wear green and yellow for St. Patrick’s day. We chanted opening prayers which was followed by a Ganesh bhajan called Gauri Ganesh sung by the youngest children of the group. Next a bhajan called The Lord gave the World was sung. This bhajan reminds us to be grateful to the Lord for the gift of this beautiful world.

“I’ve got peace like a river” was sung via karaoke followed by another on Lord Jesus, “Jesus bids us shine “that was accompanied with the keyboard. The children then narrated a story on the benefits of good action, where one gives way to another. A bhajan, titled “With a Heart that’s full of Love” praising our dear Lord Rama lifted the audience to a new level. This was followed by the song, “Give me oil in my lamp”, asking God to grant us things that we need in our lives. This was a melodious and moving song, An instrumental melody of two bhajans set to flutes and tabla was the highlight of the performance. This was followed with the bhajan “Every Moment of Life” which told us that every part of our life belongs to Bhagavan. Finally, the performance ended with a bhajan” We are Blessed” which explained that we are blessed to live in this era when our Beloved Bhagavan walked amidst us.  The performance ended with this bhajan and everyone including the children were happy and joyful.
