The Edmonton Sai Center has been active in the Interfaith community for the past several years. In October 2017, the Center received a Deepavali message from Pope Francis that was sent via the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton.   The Archbishop Richard Smith was touched by the loving response from our Center for the message from the Vatican and expressed interest in coming together in friendship and exploring joint community service projects. Upon invitation, members of the Catholic Archdiocese attended Swami’s birthday celebrations on November 19 and 23, 2017. They were impressed with the plays and devotional singing, and commented, ‘every person joined in the singing. It was so energizing!’

They were especially impressed with the Unity of Faith displays and Swami’s Sociocare, Educare and Medicare displays at our Center. Julien Hammond, Ecumenical Officer from the Archdiocese spoke at the Birthday event, thanking Sai Baba for inviting them to the wonderful celebrations and reiterated the opportunity to work together for the good of the community.

Resonating with Swami’s message of unity and love, Michael Van Boom, a Pastor and member of the Archdiocese requested us to write an article on ‘Love All Serve All’ for their monthly Newsletter, which was published on January 2, 2018.   It can only be Divine Will that the New Year began with Swami’s Message of Love for 2018 to the entire Catholic Community in Edmonton.
