During this 2020 Pandemic, many of the community service centers were lacking resources to help the homeless all over the city. One such service based center is Sanctuary Toronto, who welcome homeless and those with temporary housing by supporting them and offering direction to those who want to reclaim healthy and meaningful lives.

Montreal Sai Young Adult Retreat

The Montreal Sai Young Adult organized a summer retreat; titled “Rejuvenate and Reset”, the mission was to reaffirm our commitment in pursuit of self-transformation and rejuvenate our core believes in preparation for the back-to-work and -school routine. Together as Sai devotees, we were able to collectively uplift not only ourselves but as a group of like-minded young adults.

Amazing Grace “The World Cup of Human Values”

On Saturday May 5th, 2018, 25 Sai Young Adults from the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Center of Cooksville held their 10th annual event of Amazing Grace. The theme of this year’s Amazing Grace revolved around the FIFA world cup along with the “Go green” initiative. The event saw the participation of all SSE children, parents, Gurus and volunteers. All participants were divided into the 8 countries that were playing in the 2018 FIFA. The focus was on the children as the event was held to observe Easwaramma Day.

As part of Swami’s Samadhi Day observance, Toronto East Sai Centre has always done a Centre wide service project where adults and youth make vegetarian pasta or eggless cake and donate the food to a shelter. This year, the devotees wanted SSE students to also do their own service project. Gurus came up with an idea where all the students had to colour brown paper sandwich bags and write an uplifting message on them. The students decorated the bags with creative and colourful artwork.
